As a print on demand service, Inkthreadable prints your products when they're ordered but in most cases the blank garments and products themselves come from our suppliers.
Here's how to check what's in stock, and what happens if an item in your order is out of stock.
How do I check if a product, colour or size is in stock?
The Inkthreadable customer support AI, Fin, can search stock held in our warehouse along with our supplier warehouses to let you know if a specific SKU is in stock.
You can ask for a particular product name but Fin struggles matching variant attributes to SKUs, so it'll likely ask you for the SKU instead.
If Fin struggles to find accurate stock level data it will pass your query on to our support team. If that happens, we'll check stock manually and get back to you.
What happens if an item in my order is out of stock?
Orders can be placed whether an item is in stock or not. If we find that an item can't currently be fulfilled when your order reaches production, we'll email you within 24 hours to let you know which item is affected and what your options are:
Swap it: switch the affected item to an alternative product, colour or size. Just reply to the email and we'll update your order for you.
Hold it: we can hold your order for up to 7 days in case the item is restocked.
Refund it: we can remove the unavailable item and refund it instead.
If we don't hear back from you within 7 days, we'll automatically remove and refund the unavailable item to your original payment method, so the rest of your order isn't held up unnecessarily.
If the rest of your order is ready to go in the meantime, we may dispatch those items first. You can read more in Why has my order been part-shipped?
When will an item be back in stock?
Restock timings come from our suppliers, so they vary:
Estimated restock date
Where our supplier has given us a date, we can share it with you. But restocking dates are estimates only and can be subject to change.Out of stock until further notice
Sometimes no restock date has been provided, in which case we'd recommend switching to an alternative product, colour or size rather than waiting.
My Shopify store is showing products as "sold out"
If your products show as out of stock in your own Shopify store, this is usually a store settings issue rather than genuine stock availability. It's commonly caused by the fulfilment location settings on your store.
See Shopify Products Showing Out of Stock for the steps to fix it.
If you have any questions about stock or availability, just drop our team a message via live chat.
