Understanding the TikTok "On Hold" Status

We want to clear up any questions you may have about the TikTok "On Hold" status and how it relates to your Inkthreadable orders.

Updated over a week ago

If you've noticed the "On Hold" status on your TikTok orders, don't worry!

We'll explain what it means and how it impacts your Inkthreadable orders.

What "On Hold" means

When a customer places an order through TikTok, it will enter the "On Hold" status for one hour.

This is a buyer protection feature that allows customers to cancel an order within that hour if they change their mind.

You may have also noticed the following warning appear when you install the Inkthreadable app to your TikTok Shop.

Because of how our service connects to TikTok, your order will be processed immediately, regardless of the "On Hold" status on the TikTok side.

What does this mean for my Inkthreadable orders?

Your Inkthreadable orders will be processed as usual, even if a TikTok order displays the "On Hold" status.

In most cases, production on your order wouldn't have started within the one-hour "On Hold" window.

βœ… For extra peace of mind, you could wait one hour from when the order comes through before finalising payment on Inkthreadable, to ensure your customer doesn't cancel their order.
