Once you're integrated and you've set up your brand profile, you'll want to start syncing your products.

The process for this will vary, depending on whether or not you have existing products listed in your Squarespace store. If you haven't already installed the Squarespace integration, then you'll need to go and do that first! But once you have, we can get started.

To sync products, you'll first need to log in to your Inkthreadable account. Once you're logged in, you can begin creating products to sync with your store!

We'll start by explaining the process of creating products from scratch and syncing them with your Squarespace store, but if your store already has existing products then you can skip ahead to the Link Existing Products article.

Tip: If you want to use packing slips and printed neck labels on your orders, it's best to set these up before creating any products. We have an article on this here: Set up your Squarespace Brand profile.

Step 1: Creating new products

First, you should decide which product you'd like to use. We have lots of collections to get you started, but if you'd like any specific recommendations then feel free to contact our support team via the chat bubble in the bottom right corner.

Step 2: Uploading your design

When you select a product, the page for it will load up and present you with all the options you need to create your first product.

On the left-hand side, you'll see a blank garment with seven icons below it. These icons help you to design your product, if you hover your mouse you'll see an explanation for each. First, we'll need the Upload button.

Click this and locate your design file. Once uploaded you'll see a bar at the top of the mockup to tell you the quality of the file, we recommend 300ppi for the best results. Once you're happy with the quality, you can drag, resize or rotate the design to your heart's content.

Tip: We also have Photoshop templates available, so if you're a bit of an Adobe whizz then you can use those to carefully position your design instead, before uploading to the product creator. If you do it this way, you won't need to position or scale your design at all after uploading. The PSD template can be found under the main image, and instructions are included.

If you'd like to align your design to the centre, we have a handy tool for that! Select your design, and then click the right arrow underneath it until you reach the Align panel. The second icon is the most useful, as this aligns your design to the vertical centre of the t-shirt.

Once you're happy with the positioning and size of your design, select Create Product to save this to your account.

Step 3: Import your product to Squarespace

Your product is now saved to your Inkthreadable account. Next, you want to import this to your Squarespace store. To do this, click the import icon (second from the right, the arrow pointing to the right).

This page allows you to edit your product information before it's imported to Squarespace.

Title: The title of your product, what your customer will see when browsing your store. By default, it's a combination of the product you're using and the design title you've added to it, so you more than likely want to change it.

Description: This is the description your customers will see when browsing your Squarespace product page. By default, this field is populated with basic product information (material, weight, etc). We'd recommend keeping this information since it's useful for your customers, but it's also a good idea to add a little extra information about your design.

Brand: You can set up more than one brand, so use this field to select which brand you'd like assigned to this product.

Label: Select the brand label you'd like to print on the neck of this garment. The option for a label isn't always available, it just depends on what product you're creating. You can find out more about re-labelling here.

Resale price: Enter the price you'd like to list this product at in your Squarespace store.

Published: Use this check-box to toggle whether or not you'd like this product published as soon as it's imported to your Squarespace store.

The options under the Product Options heading will create your product variants in Squarespace. You can add one, multiple or all colours and sizes (and any other variants, depending on the product you're creating). Any variations you add will be added to the 'Variations for Import' box.

Once you're happy with your product details and variants, click the Import to Squarespace button.

Final checks!

When the import has been completed, the button will change to View on Squarespace. The flat mock-up image for your product will automatically be added to your new Squarespace listing, along with the title and description. Click the View button to head straight to your Squarespace product page, or you can start the product creation process again to build up your store's product catalogue!
