TikTok is the latest social media platform to take the world by storm. With over 17 million active users in the UK alone, it's no wonder that brands and businesses are clamouring to get a piece of the TikTok pie.
And what better way to reach TikTok's vast and engaged audience than by selling products directly on the platform?
That's right--with Inkthreadable's new TikTok Shop integration, UK sellers can now list their products directly on TikTok for all the world to see.
Here's everything you need to know before getting started.
TikTok Shop is currently open to UK sellers only. 🇬🇧
TikTok are currently limiting their Shops to domestic shipping, and since we're based in the UK your store must also be selling to consumers in the UK. Tiktok have plans to open TikTok Shop up to more countries in future, but no confirmed dates.
TikTok Shop has a limit of 50 orders per day to start.
Once you're an established seller, TikTok will review this and let you sell more.
Paying for your TikTok orders.
You can pre-load funds into your Inkthreadable account balance to pay for orders automatically, or you can pay for them as and when they're received. More info.
Your orders must be manually marked as shipped. ❗
Due to current limitations with the TikTok API, we cannot update your order statuses, and orders must be manually marked as shipped.
We'll email you to confirm once your order is shipped, and you can then update the order in your TikTok app and add the tracking information if necessary.
Orders must be marked as shipped within 15 days.
Be aware that if your order is not marked as shipped within 15 days, TikTok will automatically cancel your customer's order. Learn more.
Inkthreadable will ship your orders within 3-5 days of payment, and we will email you to confirm once the order is on the way. It will then be your responsibility to update the order in the TikTok app.
How do I get started?
The first step is to sign up for a TikTok account and open a TikTok Shop. Once you've done that, you're ready to start creating new product listings.
